Gary Chou is a fun guy based in Brooklyn, NY.

Currently, he spends his time at Orbital, a home for developing and launching new ideas.

Gary also teaches Entrepreneurial Design at the School of Visual Arts MFA in Interaction Design Program and advises Austin Center for Design, which exists to transform society through design and design education; and Venture for America, which seeks to revitalize American cities and communities through entrepreneurship.

Gary previously worked at Union Square Ventures, a NYC-based venture capital firm, where he created and managed the Union Square Ventures Network of portfolio companies, and held product roles at tech companies small and large.

In his work with independent creators, Gary executive produced Surrogate Valentine (SXSW '11) and Daylight Savings (SXSW '12), two films by Dave Boyle. He frequently collaborates with musician Goh Nakamura on web-related projects.

Gary has backed 80+ Kickstarter projects and is an ordained minister of the Universal Life Church.
